Disciplines

The Webster dictionary describes  a discipline as any activity, exercise or regimen that develops or improves a skill; Training. Certain disciplines are more successful in achieving higher levels of consciousness, health and empowerment.

It is my goal to share with you these disciplines that I have found to be the most powerful in achieving personal goals and even more important how to use your intention and approach to get any discipline to serve these goals. Please understand you cannot achieve higher consciousness, command over your life or a more attuned state of being without a practice of pure intention.

Essential to any spiritual or empowerment practice are the skills of meditation, inner vision, inner focus and command over your body, mind and emotions. these are key. Reluctance to learning these disciplines will limit your personal/spiritual growth.

It must also be said that to truly unite with oneness, you must first learn a discipline intimately, then make it your own. A high level of Kung Fu (energy or spirit practice) is achieved through creativity and presence of being (living in the now) then and only then will everything you do be in harmony with the source of all that is.

As a young man I felt a passion to understand the mysteries of life and myself, to explore and express the wonders of the universe. In the early years I tried to look under every rock, inside and out. I studied various forms of understanding including the martial arts, science, philosophy, religion, the arts, spirituality and metaphysics. Overtime what unfolded was a personal practice that I found to be both inspiring and evolutionary.

During my early pursuits I was constantly frustrated by the teaching methods of many I worked with as well as the “hold your cards (secrets) close to your chest, so no one can see” mentality. Much of the precious knowledge and wisdom in the vast majority of belief systems tended to be wrapped in a fog of mythology, traditions and rituals that seemed to hide the truth more then reveal it. I soon found myself on a quest to strip away the dogma, to reveal the inner mechanics of life and the spirit of humanity.

As this became a strong intention, I attracted several great masters that would break with tradition, and teach me the real inner workings. In addition, because of my vast multi-disciplined approach to learning, I began to connect the dots, to see the underlying structure of the universe, by extracting the common knowledge from all these various belief structures. In my teachings, I offer clear explanations of what’s being taught as well as the core knowledge of these systems allowing the student to build an appropriate practice while being able to draw on other sources (training) building a seamless personal practice.

Channel with guides

Channeled guidance

is the process of a medium to connect with the spirit world, accessing higher consciousness, Master Guides, personal guides or the Akashic records. This is usually done in either a light or deep trance state. A skilled channel needs to be both gifted and disciplined. Everyone is capable of channeling. Although some people have a predisposition to it, it is a skill that can be learned much like meditation.

The Creative Spirit

It is the fundamental nature of Spirit to be expansive, transforming, evolving and to flourish. It is at the core of consciousness to grow beyond itself in the moment. It is the core of creativity to bring into being something new and untold. To discover new and unusual ways to express spirit itself.

Creativity is not a gift, but a birth right! There is no spirit that is without the touch of creation in hand and heart. Yet there are those who would try to convince you otherwise. Creativity is not frivolous, but rather essential to our very existence. To not only survive but, flourish in both the physical and spiritual worlds.

Without creativity ascended masters could not come into being and we would all still be hovering in some dark cave fearing for our lives. All that makes your life better, easier and healthier from cooking to cell phones all started as a “daydream”.

The exploration and expression of creativity is a necessary element for spiritual growth and maturity. One cannot be complete without it’s development.

Shamanic Practices

In order to fully appreciate what Shamanism can offer us along our spirit life path, it is necessary  to understand the roots of the spirit life path. Shamanism is as old as life itself. It began developing when the first person began to be aware of themselves and their environment.  Through observing the natural world and their own inner world, a deeper understanding of life and nature offered a greater living experience. In utilizing the cycles of the Earth they created greater abundance and safer living shelters. Plant medicines and body practices (such as dance, chi kung etc.) enabled them to live longer lives and recover from disease much faster. For thousands of years these practices and knowledge continued to evolve becoming more sophisticated and powerful. Over time, superstition and fear are overcome leaving a truly magical relationship with the universe.

Nature’s way

As I said before, community is a very powerful support mechanism to further advance one’s spiritual evolution.  Nature as a whole is the most powerful community of all.  Spending quality time in nature, preferably deep in the natural environment offers profound physical, mental and spiritual insight, healing and personal reconnection. Note I said quality time, that means no ipods, cell phones or other human distractions. Most of all, if you venture out with a friend limit your conversations to the experience at hand! Some of you don’t like the inconvenience of back packing or camping, but I assure you  it’s worth the effort!  At least a few times in your life. You can also rent a cabin in a isolated area, and do day-night trips into the wild to have similar experiences, though they will not be as powerful as being fully immersed in nature. Any experience is better then none. I have never met anyone who has not had their spirit moved by a significant encounter with nature. Just remember the last time you stopped and stared at the stars on a clear night and tell me you weren’t moved. And yes, having pets count’s too!  Providing you are really experiencing and loving their true nature.

Why you ask is it so important?

Most of us live busy hectic lives. Surrounded by a thousand daily distractions and stresses that inevitably force a personal and social disconnection. Nature can provide a strong anchor grounding us back in our senses. and allow a realignment to our essential nature. Think about it, if you can embrace the idea that all things come from the source, and most of nature is an expression of source in a very pure state, then experiencing nature leads to experiencing source or (GOD) at a very pure level. One could say nature alludes to a deeper understanding of source. If you look real hard, you can see the face of GOD in nature.

It’s hard to spend time in nature and not be deeply effected. Nature radiates source, a vibrational frequency that is attuned to source, immersing one’s self in nature helps realign your own essential vibrational field, bringing you back into balance.
